Payment Policy

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

At Evira London, providing a secure, clear, and convenient payment experience is a priority.

This Payment Policy explains:

  • Which currencies and payment methods may be available.

  • How payments are authorised and processed.

  • How we help protect payment information.

  • When an order may be held, declined, or cancelled.

  • How refunds are issued.

  • How taxes, charges, and payment-related costs are handled.

This Payment Policy applies to purchases made through the Evira London online store for delivery within the United Kingdom.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable United Kingdom law.

Secure Payment Processing

Our website uses Secure Sockets Layer technology, commonly referred to as SSL encryption, to help protect information transmitted between your browser and our website.

This may include:

  • Contact details.

  • Account information.

  • Billing information.

  • Delivery information.

  • Payment-related information.

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments or other trusted third-party payment providers made available during checkout.

Evira London does not normally receive or store your complete credit or debit card number, card-security code, or online-banking credentials.

Payment providers process payment information through their own secure systems and in accordance with their own terms, privacy policies, and security standards.

Although we and our providers take reasonable steps to protect payment information, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Accepted Payment Methods

The payment methods available at checkout may include:

Credit and Debit Cards

  • Visa.

  • Mastercard.

  • Maestro.

  • American Express.

Digital Wallets and Alternative Payment Methods

  • Apple Pay.

  • Google Pay.

  • Shop Pay.

  • PayPal.

Other payment options may be added or removed from time to time.

The payment methods actually available for a particular order will be displayed during checkout.

Availability may depend on:

  • Your device.

  • Your browser.

  • Your location.

  • The selected currency.

  • The order value.

  • The payment provider.

  • Technical availability.

  • Fraud-prevention checks.

  • Our Shopify and payment settings.

Evira London does not guarantee that every payment method listed in this policy will be available for every transaction.

Currency

All product prices, order totals, refunds, and payments on the Evira London website are displayed and processed in Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless clearly stated otherwise.

The currency and total amount payable will be shown before you complete your order.

Where your card or payment account is held in another currency, your bank or payment provider may convert the transaction into that currency.

Your bank or payment provider may independently charge:

  • Currency-conversion fees.

  • Foreign-transaction fees.

  • International card fees.

  • Processing fees.

  • Other charges under its own terms.

These independent fees are not charged or controlled by Evira London.

We recommend checking the terms of your bank or payment provider before completing a payment using an account denominated in another currency.

Prices, VAT, and Mandatory Charges

The price displayed for a product will be presented in accordance with applicable UK pricing requirements.

Where legally required, the displayed price will include applicable VAT.

Before you submit an order, the checkout will show:

  • The product price.

  • Applicable discounts.

  • Applicable taxes.

  • Delivery charges, where any apply.

  • Any other mandatory charge.

  • The total amount payable.

Evira London will not intentionally add unavoidable charges only at the final stage of checkout where those charges could reasonably have been included in the price shown earlier.

No optional product, service, insurance, enhanced delivery method, or other additional charge will be added without your express agreement.

Where an optional charge is selected, it will be shown clearly before payment.

Payment Surcharges

Evira London does not charge an additional fee solely because you use a standard consumer credit card, debit card, or another payment method for which payment surcharges are prohibited under applicable UK law.

Where a surcharge is legally permitted for a particular payment method or transaction, it will:

  • Be clearly disclosed before payment.

  • Not exceed any amount permitted by law.

  • Reflect the relevant cost of accepting that payment method where required.

  • Be included in the total amount shown before you place the order.

We will not conceal a payment surcharge within another fee or add it after you have completed your purchase.

Payment Authorisation

By submitting an order and payment information, you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the selected payment method.

  • The billing details you provide are accurate.

  • The payment information is complete and current.

  • Sufficient funds or credit are available.

  • You authorise the relevant payment provider to charge the total amount shown during checkout.

  • You understand that fraud and verification checks may be performed.

Submitting an order does not guarantee that payment will be approved or that the order will be accepted.

Payment authorisation may involve the temporary reservation of funds by your bank or card issuer.

When Payment Is Taken

Depending on the payment method and payment provider, payment may be:

  • Authorised when you place the order.

  • Captured immediately.

  • Captured when the order is accepted.

  • Captured when fulfilment begins.

  • Captured when the product is dispatched.

The timing may vary according to:

  • The payment provider.

  • The selected payment method.

  • Fraud-screening requirements.

  • Shopify settings.

  • The status of the order.

Where an authorisation is placed but the order is not accepted, the authorisation will normally be released or reversed.

The time required for released funds to become available is controlled by your bank or payment provider and may vary.

Payment Confirmation

After a successful checkout, you will normally receive an automated order-confirmation email.

The order-confirmation email acknowledges that:

  • We have received your order.

  • A payment attempt has been submitted.

  • The information supplied during checkout has been recorded.

It does not necessarily confirm that:

  • The payment has passed all verification checks.

  • The payment has been finally settled.

  • The order has been accepted.

  • The product is available.

  • The order has entered fulfilment.

  • The order has been dispatched.

A contract is formed in accordance with our Terms of Service.

You will receive a separate shipping-confirmation email when your order has been dispatched.

Payment Verification

To protect customers and our business, Evira London or its payment providers may perform payment and identity-verification checks.

These checks may involve:

  • Confirming the billing address.

  • Comparing billing and delivery information.

  • Checking card-verification results.

  • Reviewing the IP address or device used.

  • Reviewing previous transactions.

  • Assessing unusual order activity.

  • Confirming the payment method belongs to the person placing the order.

  • Requesting additional information where reasonably necessary.

We may contact you using the information provided during checkout.

A request for verification does not mean that fraud has occurred. It may be a standard security measure.

Strong Customer Authentication

Certain card or electronic payments may require additional authentication.

Depending on your bank or payment provider, you may be asked to:

  • Enter a one-time passcode.

  • Approve the payment through a banking application.

  • Use biometric authentication.

  • Confirm the transaction through another security method.

This process may be referred to as:

  • Strong Customer Authentication.

  • 3D Secure.

  • Verified by Visa.

  • Mastercard Identity Check.

  • Another provider-specific authentication service.

Evira London does not control whether your bank requires additional authentication.

If you do not complete a required authentication step, the payment and order may not be completed.

Fraud Prevention

Evira London and its providers may use automated and manual fraud-prevention systems.

An order may be reviewed, delayed, placed on hold, declined, or cancelled where:

  • Payment cannot be authorised.

  • Billing information cannot be verified.

  • The order is identified as unusually high risk.

  • A payment method appears to have been used without authorisation.

  • The delivery and billing information raise security concerns.

  • Multiple unusual transactions are attempted.

  • A promotion appears to have been misused.

  • The payment is flagged by Shopify, a bank, or another provider.

  • Information reasonably requested for verification is not supplied.

Where appropriate, we may ask for additional evidence to verify the order.

We will only request information reasonably necessary for verification and will handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Declined or Failed Payments

A payment may be declined or fail for reasons including:

  • Insufficient funds.

  • An expired card.

  • Incorrect card details.

  • Incorrect billing information.

  • A failed security check.

  • A declined authentication request.

  • A transaction limit imposed by the bank.

  • A temporary payment-provider outage.

  • A block placed by the card issuer.

  • Suspected fraud.

  • An unsupported payment method.

  • A technical error.

Evira London does not always receive the specific reason for a decline.

If a payment fails, you may:

  • Check the payment information.

  • Try the payment again.

  • Use a different payment method.

  • Contact your bank or payment provider.

  • Contact us at info@eviralondon.com if you need assistance.

Repeated payment attempts may result in multiple temporary authorisations. These should normally disappear automatically according to your bank’s processing times.

Pending Payments

A payment may temporarily appear as pending while:

  • Your bank completes authorisation.

  • Fraud checks are performed.

  • Additional authentication is required.

  • The order is being reviewed.

  • The payment provider processes the transaction.

A pending transaction does not always mean the payment has been finally captured.

If an order is cancelled or unsuccessful, your bank may take several business days to release the pending amount.

Evira London cannot control the internal processing times of your bank or card issuer.

Duplicate Charges

If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same order, please first review:

  • Your order-confirmation emails.

  • Whether you placed more than one order.

  • Whether one entry is only a pending authorisation.

  • Whether the amounts or order references differ.

If the duplicate charge remains unclear, contact:

info@eviralondon.com

Please provide:

  • Your full name.

  • Your order number.

  • The date of the transaction.

  • The amount charged.

  • A screenshot or payment reference where available.

Do not send a complete payment-card number or security code by email.

Incorrect Payment Amounts

If the amount charged differs from the amount displayed in your confirmed order, contact us promptly at:

info@eviralondon.com

We will review:

  • The order total.

  • Discounts applied.

  • Delivery charges.

  • Taxes.

  • Any optional extras selected.

  • Payment-provider records.

  • Currency or bank fees charged independently.

Where Evira London has charged an incorrect amount, we will correct the error and issue any refund required.

Independent bank, conversion, or payment-provider fees may need to be disputed directly with the relevant provider.

Promotional Codes and Discounts

Promotional codes must be entered and successfully applied before the order is submitted.

Unless clearly stated otherwise:

  • Only one discount code may be used per order.

  • Codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

  • Product exclusions may apply.

  • Minimum order values may apply.

  • Codes may expire.

  • Codes may be limited to particular customers or regions.

  • Codes may be limited to one use per customer or household.

The checkout will show whether a discount has been accepted before payment.

You are responsible for checking that the expected discount appears before completing the order.

Where a promotional code fails because of a technical issue, contact us before placing the order where reasonably possible.

We are not required to apply an expired, invalid, improperly used, or ineligible promotional code.

Nothing in this section allows us to advertise promotions in a false or misleading manner.

Gift Cards and Store Credit

Where gift cards or store credit are offered, separate terms may apply.

Those terms may address:

  • Validity periods.

  • Eligible products.

  • Transferability.

  • Partial use.

  • Remaining balances.

  • Lost or stolen codes.

  • Refund treatment.

  • Currency restrictions.

Gift cards and store credit cannot normally be exchanged for cash except where legally required.

A refund for an order paid using gift credit may be returned to the original gift balance or store-credit method where legally permitted.

Where an order was paid using multiple payment methods, refunds may be divided between the original methods.

Buy Now, Pay Later Services

Where a buy now, pay later service is available, that service is provided by an independent third-party provider.

The provider may:

  • Carry out eligibility or affordability checks.

  • Enter into a separate credit agreement with you.

  • Collect instalments.

  • Apply its own late-payment rules.

  • Process personal information under its own privacy policy.

  • Report information to credit-reference agencies where permitted.

Evira London does not control the provider’s credit decision or repayment terms.

You remain responsible for reviewing and accepting the provider’s terms before selecting that payment option.

A refund from Evira London does not automatically cancel an instalment agreement until the provider has processed the refund.

You should continue meeting any required payments until the provider confirms that the agreement has been updated.

PayPal and Digital Wallets

When using PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, or another digital wallet:

  • The wallet provider may use stored contact and payment information.

  • The billing information supplied by the wallet may be used for the order.

  • The provider may perform its own fraud and authentication checks.

  • The provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

Please check that the billing and delivery information supplied by the wallet is accurate before completing payment.

Evira London is not responsible for incorrect information automatically supplied from your digital-wallet account where that information was not caused by us.

Payment Security Responsibilities

You should take reasonable steps to protect your payment information.

This includes:

  • Using a secure device.

  • Using a trusted internet connection.

  • Keeping passwords confidential.

  • Enabling account security features.

  • Not sharing card-security codes.

  • Checking the website address before entering payment information.

  • Logging out of shared devices.

  • Contacting your bank promptly about suspicious activity.

Evira London will never ask you to send a full payment-card number, card-security code, or online-banking password by email.

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Evira London, do not provide payment information and contact us at info@eviralondon.com.

Unauthorised Payments

If you believe a payment was made without your authorisation:

  1. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately.

  2. Follow the provider’s instructions for securing your account.

  3. Contact us at info@eviralondon.com.

  4. Provide the relevant order or transaction information where available.

We may:

  • Place the related order on hold.

  • Cancel the order before dispatch.

  • Preserve records relevant to the investigation.

  • Cooperate with the payment provider.

  • Request reasonable identity verification.

Refund rights for unauthorised payments may also be governed by your bank, payment provider, card scheme, or applicable payment-services law.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

A chargeback is a payment dispute raised through a bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

Before initiating a chargeback, we encourage you to contact us so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

This does not prevent you from exercising any right to dispute a transaction.

If a chargeback is opened, we may provide the payment provider with information reasonably relevant to the dispute, including:

  • Order records.

  • Payment records.

  • Delivery information.

  • Tracking information.

  • Customer communications.

  • Refund records.

  • Evidence of acceptance or fulfilment.

Personal information involved in a dispute will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Submitting a dishonest or knowingly false payment dispute may constitute fraud.

Order Cancellation and Payments

You may request order cancellation in accordance with our Terms of Service and Return and Refund Policy.

Where an order is successfully cancelled before payment is captured:

  • No final charge may be taken; or

  • A temporary authorisation may be released.

Where payment has already been captured, an approved cancellation will normally result in a refund to the original payment method.

Cancellation is only confirmed when you receive written confirmation from Evira London.

Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

A different method may be used only where:

  • You expressly agree.

  • The original payment method is no longer available.

  • Another method is required by law.

  • The payment provider requires an alternative process.

Evira London will not charge a fee for issuing a refund that is legally required.

Refund eligibility is governed by:

  • Our Return and Refund Policy.

  • Our Terms of Service.

  • Applicable UK consumer law.

Refund Timing

For statutory online-order cancellations, refunds will be processed within the legally required period.

This will generally be no later than 14 days after:

  • We receive the returned goods; or

  • You provide evidence that the goods have been sent back,

whichever occurs first, where applicable.

For other approved refunds, we aim to submit the refund within five business days after approval.

After the refund is submitted, your bank or payment provider may require additional time to make the funds available.

Typical processing times vary by provider and are outside Evira London’s control.

Original Delivery Costs

Where required for a valid statutory cancellation, we will refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered when the order was placed.

Where you selected a more expensive delivery option, such as express or premium delivery, the additional amount may not be refundable beyond the standard-delivery cost.

Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed, delivery charges and return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and our Return and Refund Policy.

Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be issued where:

  • Only part of an order is returned.

  • A lawful deduction is made for diminished value caused by excessive handling.

  • Only one product in a multi-item order is cancelled.

  • A promotional discount must be recalculated after a partial return.

  • The customer agrees to retain a product for an appropriate price reduction.

  • Another partial remedy is agreed or legally permitted.

Any deduction will be explained where appropriate and will not be used as a penalty.

Refunds to Expired or Closed Cards

Where the original card has expired or been replaced, the refund can often still be routed by the bank to the associated account.

Where the original account has been closed, contact your bank or payment provider for assistance.

Evira London may be unable to redirect a refund to another account after it has been submitted to the original payment method.

Where a refund is rejected and returned to us, we may contact you to arrange an alternative lawful refund method.

Missing Refunds

If you have received confirmation that a refund was processed but it has not appeared:

  1. Check the original payment account.

  2. Allow the processing period stated by your bank or provider.

  3. Contact your card issuer, bank, or payment provider.

  4. Confirm whether the refund is pending.

  5. Contact us if further assistance is needed.

Email:

info@eviralondon.com

Please include:

  • Your full name.

  • Your order number.

  • The refund amount.

  • The date the refund was confirmed.

  • The payment method used.

Do not email complete card details.

Changes to Payment Methods

Evira London may add, remove, suspend, or update payment methods where reasonably necessary.

This may occur because of:

  • Payment-provider changes.

  • Security concerns.

  • Technical availability.

  • Regulatory requirements.

  • Store configuration.

  • Commercial decisions.

Changes will apply to future transactions and will not alter a payment that has already been completed.

The current payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Changes to This Payment Policy

We may update this Payment Policy to reflect:

  • Changes to available payment methods.

  • Changes to payment providers.

  • Security developments.

  • Changes to our procedures.

  • Legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Changes to refund arrangements.

The updated version will be published on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Changes will not retrospectively alter an accepted order or completed payment unless:

  • Required by law.

  • Necessary to correct an error.

  • The change benefits you.

  • You expressly agree.

Privacy

Personal and payment-related information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our payment providers may act as independent controllers or processors of personal information and may provide separate privacy information.

Payment information may be transferred internationally where required to process a transaction, prevent fraud, or provide the Services.

Where applicable, international transfers will be handled using appropriate legal safeguards.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Payment Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable UK law.

This includes rights relating to:

  • Transparent pricing.

  • Mandatory charges.

  • Optional extras.

  • Payment surcharges.

  • Unauthorised payments.

  • Online-order cancellations.

  • Faulty or misdescribed goods.
